Sarah Cossey
Character Teacher
Sarah is a qualified and experienced educator, currently working as a performing arts teacher. Sarah's previous roles include coordinating the VCE VET Dance program with Ausdance Victoria, character teacher at Ringwood Ballet Group, Verchovyna Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and Lehenda Ukraininan School of Dance. After completing her ballet training through both the RAD and Cecchetti syllabi, Sarah has performed with Lehenda Ukrainian Dance Company under the direction of Melanie Moravski-Dechnicz since its inception and has toured nationally and internationally with productions 'Kazka - A Fairytale', and 'Legends - Stories of a Nation'. Sarah is also a professionally trained musician. Combining two of her greatest passions, music and dance, Sarah has worked as a choreographer for Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria in their productions of 'The Contrabandista', 'Cavaleria Rusticana' and 'The Gondoliers'. She has also performed as a soloist in productions of 'Chu Chin Chow' and 'Fiddler on the Roof'. Sarah was one of the founders of the Regional Chamber Ballet and is passionate about the unique combination of live chamber music and dance.
