Olivia Paine

Originally from the NSW North Coast, Olivia began dancing from a young age. She quickly showed promise, winning scholarships and placing at prestigious competitions such as the Sydney Eisteddfod and the Alana Haines Awards. At 10, Olivia joined the Australian Ballet School’s ‘Interstate Training Program’ and commenced full-time training at 14.
Throughout her studies, Olivia was awarded The Australian Ballet School’s Scholarship of Excellence, represented the school in Canada, was selected to understudy with The Australian Ballet Company in her final year at the school, and toured with The Australian Ballet’s Dancer’s Company.
In 2014, she received the prestigious Martin Bequest Scholarship for Ballet. After graduating, Olivia travelled through Europe, taking classes with renowned ballet companies worldwide, before returning to Melbourne to join Melbourne City Ballet, where she was soon promoted.
Following a career-ending injury, Olivia now channels her passion into teaching, sharing her knowledge and love of ballet with students of all ages.
